Part 12: Production Here We Come

Production Here We Come

Ready for bike seat production!

Based on our extensive testing along with positive feedback from users and Bike Shop Experts, we are going into production. This is a big step for us. With patents, trademarks, prototypes, initial production run, forming a company, building out a website, product insurance and countless other items, we will have over $100,000 invested before we sell our first seat.

A couple of months back, shortly after I formed the company, my nephew Ben joined me as a partner in the business. Ben is a website guru, marketing wizard and technology savvy. Best Bike Seat, LLC would never have gotten this far without his skillsets... and a little help from AI with improving creative writing, website code, and organizing our notes.

We have wired the money to produce the molds for our production seats. We should have five first article seats in hand by October first. Our plan is to test ride the seats several hundred miles in two weeks. If all goes as planned, our first production seats will arrive in December for our Kickstarter campaign and product launch the first part of 2026 in Mesa, AZ. If both of those are successful, we will place a second large production order to stock our online store and hopefully, fulfill orders to local bike and rental shops.

Excited to Launch Our Best Bike Seat on Kickstarter

I’ll keep this page updated as testing continues—so check back for progress, photos, and results. And if you’ve got thoughts or feedback, I’d love to hear from you.
